Duffy's first-pitch HR opens series in Bronx

NEW YORK — Rays third baseman Matt Duffy didn’t waste any time when he stepped into the batter’s box Thursday night at Yankee Stadium.

Leading off in the first inning, Duffy swung at the first pitch from Yankees right-hander Domingo German and hit a home run over the left-field wall to give the Rays a 1-0 lead.
