Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Cassie Brown as Commissioner of Workers’ Compensation at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) for a term set to expire on February 1, 2019. Cassie Brown of Austin is deputy commissioner for Regulatory Policy at the Texas Department of Insurance, where she has served since 2011. Previously, she served as a policy advisor to Governor Rick Perry.
