The SLMPD’s Force Investigations Unit is investigating after shots were exchanged between Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies and a 36-year-old man in the east alley of the 6900 block of Pennsylvania. Shortly after 6:00 PM on November 6, 2026, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a domestic related incident in their jurisdiction. Around 9:20pm, deputies spotted a vehicle that was stolen in the domestic incident and initiated a pursuit. The pursuit entered St. Louis City at which time the stolen vehicle came to a stop in the east alley of the 6900 Pennsylvania. The suspect, 36-year-old Denzell Reed, fled
