Around 10:00PM on October 31, 2026, District 3 officers responded to the 1000 block of Hickory St. for a shooting. When they arrived, they located a 16-year-old male with several gunshot wounds. He was conscious and breathing. EMS responded and conveyed the 16-year-old to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition. A preliminary investigation suggests that the teen was standing at a bus stop near Hickory and Tucker when the occupants of a vehicle began firing shots at him.
